Knightwood Oak
Chocolate Porter – 5%
- The Knightwood Oak tree is believed to be over 500 years old and the largest oak tree in the New Forest. It is a perfect example of ‘pollarding’ which is the traditional way of harvesting wood without killing trees.
- The Knightwood Oaks strength and longevity has inspired our Chocolate Porter which is packed full of 5 different historic grains which help to enhance the rich cocoa.
The Commoner
Ordinary Bitter – 4%
- The Commoner is inspired by the 1217 Charter of the Forest which gave back rights to commoners so they could once again graze livestock, hunt & forage, something that’s been happening since the Bronze Age. These rights were taken away by William the Conqueror so as not to interfere with his hunting pursuits.
- This traditional ordinary bitter is bronze in colour, it combines the balance of sweetness from the malt along with bitterness and aromas from the hops.
